Description / History

Cantina Giba lies in the Southwestern corner of Sardinia, overlooking the azure Mediterranean Sea. The vision is to show the characteristics of the land and culture sorrounding it.

All Italian regions have their peculiarities, but Sardinia has more than most. It’s location between the Italian peninsula, France and Spain has made it a melting pot of different cultures. It truely shows.

Cantina Giba captures the different cultures. The passion for authenticity is pure Italian, but the red wines are made from the red grape variety Carignano.  In Italy it is only used in this corner of Sardinia. Yet, it is highly praised in southern France and Spain.

The winemaker also has his origins in northern Spain. If you know where to look, you can find it in the wines.
