Monte Formigão

Description / History

Wine production has been in the family fore more than 3 generations. Today Maria Ramos, her daugther Carla and son in law Alexandre are running the winery. Their sole objective is to continue crafting unique wines, from the remote corner of this unknown region.

The vines are between 40-60 years old. Only grape varieties that can handle the severe climate are grown here. Baga is grown for the red wines and Fernão-Pires for the whites.
