LOACKER Wine Estates

Description / History

Since 1979 LOACKER Wine Estates have done things their own way. Managing 3 Estates in 2 regions: South Tyrol and Tuscany. Sustainability is a cornerstone in the wine production. For over 40 years all 3 estates have been producing organic and biodynamic wine.
Rainer Loacker built the first winery and has now passed on his legacy to his 3 sons; Hayo, Franz Joseph and Hannes.

Weingut Loacker
Back in 1979 when Rainer began his jouney in South Tyrol he was labelled out-of-his-mind. The rebel wanted to grow organic and sustainable so did not care what others thought. Today the vineyards stretches 7 hectares and producing 60.000 bottles.
Grapes cultivated includes: Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Vernatsch, Lagrein, Merlot & Cabernet.

Tenuta Corte Pavone (only available for Portugal & France)

The total production reaches 80.000 bottles annually. Hayo Loacker is taking care of this estate. 10 years ago he started observing and stuyding the vines and terroir. The result; 4 Brunello di Montalcino Crus to his name – and all are biodynamic.

Tenuta Valdifalco (only available for Portugal & France)
Fruity wines from Maremma! The 22 hectares of vine produces 110.000 bottles annually. There are 3 grapes harvested at this estate; Syrah, Sangiovese & Vermentino. Tenuta Valdifalco is located just about 75kms from Tenuta Corte Pavone, on the South side of Grosseto. The proximity to the sea influences the vines along with much sunlight.
Fun fact. The wine magazine VINUM rated Lodolaia Syrah Maremma 2016 16.5/20, calling it ‘a wine for, pardon me, true men’.
